Haydon Palermo has a unique proven international pedigree. His dam is a full sister to Hall of Fame mare by Drawn, Haydon Angel Jewel, who won every major polo tournament in the world played by the world’s best player Adolfo Cambisio, including the Argentine Triple Crown. He is by Ellerston Ruski whose pedigree contains seven of the world’s top mares, including Hall of Fame mares Pinky (NZ) and La Luna (Arg). All his close relations played at the pinnacle of world polo in the Argentine Open which is played at Palmero, the Cathedal of Polo, after which he is named.
Palermo has a very good temperament, ability and trainability traits. He has been used at stud after a foot injury cut short his performance career.
His siblings have all excelled including; Haydon Victoriana who played the Argentine Open, Haydon Oracle is a sire in the UK, Haydon Dunkirk played polocrosse at the top levels and the top polo mares Haydon Sky Jewel, Haydon Pandora and Haydon Crystalline all who played well at Ellerston.
